Kimochis, meaning ‘feelings’ in Japanese, are small soft pillows that come inside a selection of the cuddliest plush toy characters. Each Kimochi has a facial expression that represents an emotion, such as angry, hurt, left out, frustrated sad, happy, friendly, kind, brave, or silly.
There are five plush toy characters: Cloud, Huggtopus, Bugs, Lovey Dove and Cat, and each plush toy character is boxed with three feelings (which varies by character), and an instruction booklet.
-
Cloud is a bit unpredictable. One day he is happy, the next he is angry, and the next day who knows!
-
Huggtopus is all smiles and hugs. She is very affectionate and strong.
-
Bugs is smart, thoughtful and extremely cautious.
-
Lovey dove is sweet and nurturing and always there to help smooth out a lumpy situation.
-
Cat is the only Kimochi who knows what she wants, when she wants it and why; she is very persuasive.
When children can communicate their feelings, they build their confidence and self esteem. This also cultivates self-awareness, resilience and kindness.
